History

1973

IndoShell was founded by
Mr. K.Jagadeesain with a vision to be a quality conscious preferred foundry to customers.

The first Shell Molding foundry (Plant I ) was started as a small scale unit in the industrial town of Coimbatore, South India

1995

Promoted as a closely held Public Limited Company but not listed.

1996

Bigger and semi automatic Shell Molding foundry (PLANT II) was officially Inaugurated.

Obtained the ISO 9002 Certification from RWTUV, Germany

2001

With an objective to add value the castings manufactured, a complete machining facility PLANT III was inaugurated.

2002

A first of its kind Metrology Lab of international standards was opened.

2003

Was one of the first foundries to get ISO/TS 16949:2002 Certification from TUV, Germany and Re-certification of ISO 9001:2000

2004

The company forayed into manufacturing of Aluminium castings by inaugurating the non-ferrous foundry.

Engineering services division was formed as a separate profit center.

2005

To keep up with the demands, another automated state of the art Shell Mould foundry PLANT IV was inaugurated.

2006

Plant V, a machining facility with machining lines to machine complex Hydraulic castings was inaugurated.

2008

Acquired the ISO/IEC 17025 Certification from NABL for Metrology Lab

2010

IndoShell Precision Technologies was setup in the United States as a Joint venture.

2013

Owing to great demand for green sand high pressure mold castings from existing customers, the DISA Green Sand Foundry was founded.

2014

Obtained the AS 9100 Certification for ISPT for aerospace components

2015

Inaugurated a state of the art machining facility ISPT INDIA for the machining of complex Bearing Housing components for Turbochargers.

Started the Centrifugal casting plant.

The promoter group consists of technocrats with more than 100 man-years expertise in Metallurgy and Foundry technology. Their hands on approach ably supported by key management personnel, engineers, consultants and customers have made IndoShell as one of the reputed manufacturers of casting components.

To solve the Quality problems in a scientific way Indo Shell developed 5 Six Sigma Black Belt Holders. To achieve Rejection reduction Process variation reduction various projects are identified on a continuous basis and problems are solved.
